first book was ok and a fast read so I thought I'd give
the 2nd in series a try

For me, it was a waste of money, I bought it on a recommendation

To me it was a poorly written "take off" of the Vinnie Espisito series
Characters did not have strong personalities and editing was
very poor.

I cannot recommend this book

J.M. Griffin is one of my favorite authors, you fall in love w/all her characters right away. I loved how she incorporated Vinnie Esposito into this series. Great touch!
INTERESTING STORY. CARRIES SOME CHARACTERS OVER FROM PREVIOUS BOOK. GREAT. I LOVE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS !
I read the first book in the Deadly Bakery Series and was very anxious to read this second book. I love the Bakery Series and also really like the characters in the 'Vinnie Esposito series.' I read the Esposito series after finishing A Crouton Murder.

Now I am anxiously waiting on a third book in the Deadly Bakery Series.
I really like the way J.M.Griffin writes a mystery. The characters are likeable and the mysteries are nicely resolved. I recommend these books for an easy and delightful read.
This was second book is the series. As with the first book totally enjoyed reading from beginning to end. Bettyjo and Melinda were again suspects in a criminal offense. They worked their magic in finding solutions to life problems. Humor and good friendship made a fun and easy read. Again recommend reading this series.
I like how this author crafts a lighthearted story. I never know just where it's going, and I like that too
This is a quick light read. These are quite different from her Esposito series. These are in light with the short cozy format that seems to have become quite popular in the last couple of years. While this will stand alone you will probably enjoy it more if you read these in order. Since these are the shorter format as discussed you will not see secondary characters developed as well as you would in the longer format cozies.
